Prem Lund is one of the founders of The Yog Foundation. He has been working as a Physician Assistant at Baptist Urgent Care, Miami South Florida and has been in the frontline throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. He is also the Clinical Director for a Free-standing Urgent Care – ‘Urgentmed Inc.’ in Broward, S Florida for the past 9 years. When Prem witnessed that his own family in India was affected by COVID-19 and did not have access to medical care, he wondered how hard it must be for other families in a similar situation especially if they do not have the means or the resources to access timely health care. This really drove him to personally get involved and do something about this crisis. So, he jumped on the volunteer opportunity of offering free telehealth services to COVID-19 patients in India. At the end of his shifts at the Urgent Care he would get on the Virtual Telehealth portal, counselling and reassuring patients and concerned family members.  During the second surge of the pandemic, he along with the other co-founders, felt the need to reach out in a bigger and on a more sustainable basis. So along with his college friends from Mithibai College, Mumbai – Class of 1992, he helped initiate The Yog Foundation.

Prem is an avid 5am- 5k runner with a passion for music across genres. He has been married for 21 years and has a 16-year-old son in high school and a 5 year old German Shepherd with quite a personality. His wife is a pharmacy manager at CVS who is very empathetic and eager to give back. She has been at the forefront in the vaccination effort in our community. His 16 year old son wants to be a neurologist, but currently like many other teenagers he has a passion for gaming and coding. Prem is a nature lover and likes to tend to his garden and read books on his time off. Prem genuinely believes that all we need is joyfulness and compassion along with a clear intention, to elevate human beings across the planet.

Prem is proficient in English, Spanish, Hindi, Sindhi with a workable knowledge of French and Portuguese.
